This American History lessons showcases my ability to bring technology and hands on learning into the classroom. I focused using teaching and promoting effective communication and technology while staying in line with 21st century learning. Along with the assessment piece I have included learning objectives, unit standards, lesson organization and how students were graded on the project.

The first ever piece of information I was able to use in my classroom came from when I utilized the TPACK framework and focused on using technology in the classroom with a combination of pedagogy and reliable content. This blog and post demonstrate how different students may see the world and how when you don't have all of the tools at your disposal you can still create a valuable lesson plan. It also demonstrates the role technology has in the classroom as well as the continued learning success of students with technology.

In this research essay, my focus was to demonstrate my understanding of leadership and design a 5-year school improvement plan. This plan showcases my beliefs and practices and what I believe is a purposeful way of using technology in the classroom. In my essay, I discuss a change that is needed from teacher centered to student centered learning and teaching students the responsibility of digital citizenship. When completed and designed correctly, I believe that we can truly shift towards true 21st century learning.

This artifact taught me that while my leadership style maybe not the best approach for everyone I am still supporting the educational system the best way I can.

My problem of practice (PoP) was re-working the 7th Grade Cold War Unit and making it more digital and hands-on for students. Our current curriculum currently has general ideas and topics; however, the assignments and the presentation of what the county requires is lacking technology and hands-on involvement. The main goal was to recreate the subunit of the Berlin Blockade, Airlift and Wall.
